Assistant Project Manager

Henninger Media Services is seeking talented individuals to support the Project Management department as Assistant Project Managers (APMs) on a full-time temporary basis for the 2018 political season.

APMs assist the project management team by maintaining the schedule book and preparing for clients’ projects. APMs field scheduling questions, work directly with clients over the phone and in person, and create digital distribution orders routinely for political spots. The APM will also draft client invoices, cover the front desk as needed, assist the shipping and receiving department, and maintain and monitor the library inventory.

The ideal candidate is team-oriented with a positive attitude, a proactive work ethic, demonstrated history of reliability and flexibility, and the ability to work flexible hours, including a potential evening shift. Outstanding attention to detail, the ability to work in a busy environment, multi-task and handle deadlines, and strong communication skills are also necessary.

Narration Recordist

Henninger Media Services is looking to hire a full-time/temporary Narration Recordist to provide narration recording for clients’ projects and assist Audio Mixers for the 2018 political season.

The Narration Recordist conducts narration record sessions with clients’ talent either in a recording booth at Henninger or via ISDN services or phone patch. Other duties may include narration editing, posting files, and assisting Audio Mixers by loading files and preparing for mixing sessions.

The Narration Recordist must have knowledge of audio equipment and software including but not limited to: Steinberg DAWs, sound effects libraries, multitrack recorders, studio microphones, Source Connect ISDN, Telos ISDN appliances, and phone patch equipment. The Narration Recordist may be required to review client projects in order to determine equipment needed and source material required to produce a high-quality, professional finished product. This position may also require occasional long work days and weekend work.

The ideal candidate would have at least one year of experience in the production and/or post production industry, particularly in audio post production. The Narration Recordist must have excellent communication skills and work equally well as part of a team and independently. He or she must be able to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently in a high-stress, deadline-driven environment.

Video Editor/Graphic Artist

We are currently seeking a fulltime staff video editor with exceptional graphic design skills to edit at Henninger.

Qualified candidates will have at least five (3 -5) years of professional editing and graphic design experience. Candidates with less than 3 years will not be considered for this position. Working on 30-60 second ads, political ad experience a plus. A strong working knowledge of Adobe editing systems, especially Adobe After Effects, Apple and Avid. Knowledge of additional plug-ins and Resolve software is a plus. Qualified candidates will also have outstanding client relationship skills and be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.

Creative Director

We are looking for a Creative Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the creativity to conceptualize and deliver on artistically outstanding ideas for our clients; the experience to inspire and collaborate with high-level decision makers; the access to an extensive network of freelance graphic designers; and the entrepreneurial drive to rapidly grow the design and motion graphics capacity of a market-leading production and post-production company in the D.C. area.

The Creative Director needs to be both hands-on and high-level, including the production and management of:

• Television/web spots and videos
• Graphic packages for broadcast programming
• Infographics
• Corporate videos
• Storyboarding
• Print ads
• Collateral
• Style guides

The successful candidate will be a roll-up-the-sleeves kind of creative who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, team environment and who can help lead a creative team and apply conceptual strategy, brainstorming, and day-to-day management of multiple projects from start to completion. The Creative Director must also have experience communicating creative concepts effectively to a team and mentoring in a constructive way to foster innovative ideas from others. In addition, this position must have a superior ability to present and sell creative ideas to clients.
