What We’re Watching

Television is our favorite medium, so it only makes sense that in the age of peak TV we have a lot of favorites. Here’s a quick run-down of what a few people around here have been watching in their free time.

Matt Witkowski’s love of The Walking Dead has spread to another AMC show, Into the Badlands. It combines high-level martial arts choreography with character-driven drama and intrigue (his wife refuses to watch it with him). For a laugh, he’s been turning to the CBS show Life in Pieces. Starring Dianne Wiest and James Brolin, it’s about a family whose members are navigating big life milestones.

Greg Deist has been bingeing season 2 of Fortitude. Available on Amazon, the show centers around a murder mystery set in the northernmost town in the world. Fun fact: we provided QC for the show! Eddie Hartness has bypassed traditional television and is instead indulging in YouTube videos about ancient civilizations. To quote Eddie (who has two small kids), “Anything but Pokemon.” Polly Bryan is looking forward to the next season of Westworld and eagerly awaits weekly episodes of Veep.

A recent cord cutter, Sue O’Hora has been bingeing new episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000 on Netflix and The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu. The new MST3K is every bit as silly and charming as the original, and The Handmaid’s Tale is dark as night, but super compelling and well-acted.
