Henninger Works With White Cherry Entertainment on 40th Annual Kennedy Center Honors
On December 3, 2017, the Kennedy Center held its 40th annual national celebration of the arts – The Kennedy Center Honors. The 2017 recipients were American dancer and choreographer Carmen de Lavallade, Cuban American singer-songwriter and actress Gloria Estefan, American hip hop artist and entertainment icon LL COOL J, American television writer and producer Norman Lear, and American musician and record producer Lionel Richie.
Produced by Ricky Kirshner and Glenn Weiss of White Cherry Entertainment, we were happy to be a part of this year’s production. On Saturday, December 2nd recipients were introduced by colleagues, made remarks and were awarded their medallions at the annual State Department Dinner. Senior Editor Jef Huey put together a highlight reel of the dinner to be shown during the event at the Kennedy Center the previous evening. Henninger also provided technical support for post production.
The 40th Annual Kennedy Center Honors will air as a two hour special on CBS at 9/8c on Tuesday, December 26th.
