Night Operations Manager

Henninger Media Services is seeking a Night Operations Manager to support the Project Management department on a temporary basis for the 2022 political season. The Night Operations Manager is an on-site position responsible for the overall facility management during the evening hours. Remote working could be possible for weekend work as needed. Ideal candidates will have experience with production and/or post-production operations management.

The Night Operations Manager will work hand in hand with the Facility Manager to ensure a smooth transition of operations from the day shift to night shift, and confirm operators and resources are available for all scheduled sessions. Thorough communication of all scheduling and operation details are provided by the Night Operations Manager at the end of each evening to the daytime Project Management team and Facility Manager. The Night Operations Manager is responsible for trueing up the schedule, confirming all morning sessions and informing all operators of their start time before the end of their shift. This position may supervise an Assistant Project Manager during the evening hours and will help arrange staffing of editors, audio mixers and colorists. Weekend work may be required as well.

The Night Operations Manager will assist the Project Management team by fielding scheduling questions, working directly with clients over the phone and in person, and creating digital distribution orders routinely for political spots. The Night Operations Manager will also review all submitted digital distributions for accuracy each day. This position may also draft client invoices, cover the front desk as needed, assist the shipping and receiving department, and maintain and monitor the library inventory.

The Night Operations Manager should possess exceptional customer service skills to support clients and communicate with the team internally and have the ability to multitask and work effectively under changing priorities.

High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience. Assistant Project Manager

Henninger Media Services is seeking a talented individual to support the Project Management department as an Assistant Project Manager (APM) on a temporary basis for the 2022 political season. This position will work in person at the company’s Arlington, VA location during the weekdays and might allow for remote working on weekends as needed.

The APM assists the project management team by maintaining the schedule book and preparing for clients’ projects. Sales Executive

Henninger Media Services, Inc. is seeking a talented individual to support the Sales department as a Sales Executive working remotely and at its Arlington, Virginia facility (hybrid).

The Sales Executive is primarily responsible for engaging new and existing customers to generate revenues for the business in video production and post production services. This will be done primarily by cold-calling, emailing, and networking with prospective clients as well as handling incoming sales inquiries through the company website, email, and phone. The Sales Executive will develop, implement, and manage an individualized sales plan to bring in new customers and reach the monthly and annual revenue quotas specified by management. Contacts, opportunities, and deals will be tracked using Hubspot CRM software on a daily basis.

The Sales Executive will prepare detailed proposals, negotiate, and close deals with prospective clients. They will ensure a smooth hand-off to assigned Project Managers and continue to nurture the client relationship for recurring business. This position must maintain a strong understanding of the services the company can provide to clients and a general understanding of the technology related to these services. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to collaborate with a creative team of editors, animators, engineers, audio specialists and colorists to develop solutions for clients that will win their business and keep them coming back in the future. The Sales Executive will also identify and actively participate in key networking, organizational, and membership opportunities in the local market.

The ideal candidate must have proven sales experience with the ability to negotiate and close sales for production and/or postproduction deals and be able to travel to client sites as necessary. Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written) with a diverse range of individuals is a must. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Hubspot CRM software and the ability to quickly learn new software related to job responsibilities is required. The Sales Executive must also be able to attend business-related events outside the office, which may happen after normal business hours.

Staff Accountant

Henninger Media Services, Inc. is seeking a talented individual to support the Accounting and Human Resources department as a Staff Accountant on site at its Arlington, Virginia facility.

The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for handling routine daily, monthly, and annual accounting functions. This position accurately prepares all invoices to be sent out for client billings and processes cash receipts. The person in this position also reviews and enters all incoming payable vouchers and processes payments to vendors. The Staff Accountant posts all transactions to the general ledger and processes month-end closing journal entries in preparation of the financial statements.

The Staff Accountant prepares daily management reports for billings and cash and prepares the monthly bank reconciliations. This position also maintains the Sage FAS fixed asset management software, records fixed asset purchases and dispositions, and computes monthly book depreciation as well as annual calculations for tax returns. The Staff Accountant also assists with business insurance, various tax filings, annual audits, payroll timecard processing, and annual budgeting.

A team-oriented individual with a positive attitude, a proactive work ethic, demonstrated history of reliability and flexibility, and the ability to work well with others is a must. The ideal candidate has excellent math and accounting skills, significant experience with accounting computer software, and proficient skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with Sage FAS fixed asset software a plus. This position interacts regularly with customers and employees regarding accounting-related transactions and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Video Editor/Graphic Artist

We are currently seeking a fulltime staff video editor with exceptional graphic design skills to edit at Henninger.

Qualified candidates will have at least five (3 -5) years of professional editing and graphic design experience. Candidates with less than 3 years will not be considered for this position. Working on 30-60 second ads, political ad experience a plus. A strong working knowledge of Adobe editing systems, especially Adobe After Effects, Apple and Avid. Knowledge of additional plug-ins and Resolve software is a plus. Qualified candidates will also have outstanding client relationship skills and be able to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends.

Creative Director

We are looking for a Creative Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the creativity to conceptualize and deliver on artistically outstanding ideas for our clients; the experience to inspire and collaborate with high-level decision makers; the access to an extensive network of freelance graphic designers; and the entrepreneurial drive to rapidly grow the design and motion graphics capacity of a market-leading production and post-production company in the D.C. area.

The Creative Director needs to be both hands-on and high-level, including the production and management of:

  • Graphic packages for broadcast programming
  • Infographics

  • Storyboarding

  • At least seven years of creative direction experience in a broadcast television production or agency environment.
  • Experience with broadcast television, spots, videos, motion graphics, graphics packages, brand development and management, print advertising, collateral materials, and social media.
  • Access to a strong network of creative graphic designers and motion graphics artists. Broad experience working with these designers on previous projects.
  • Experience directing/managing creative staff in the production of integrated campaigns, ensuring creative scope is accurate and deadlines are met.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines, with strong time management and creative resource management capabilities.
  • Skilled in conceptualization and creative copywriting.

Senior Audio Mixer

Henninger Media Services is looking to hire a full-time Senior Audio Mixer to provide a variety of audio services for clients’ projects.

The Senior Audio Mixer provides the expertise and artistic creativity to each client project with regard to the overall best sound possible. Responsibilities include music searches utilizing online audio libraries, mixing audio tracks from various sources onto the client’s project; reviewing clients’ wants and needs for the project and determining if audio fixes are required (i.e. correcting synchronization between audio and video or audio restoration); designing and mixing audio to meet a high standard of excellence fulfilling the clients expectations and resolving any audio problems.

The Senior Audio Mixer must have knowledge of audio equipment and software including but not limited to: Steinberg Nuendo, Waves Plug-ins, and iZotope Plug-ins and other common software programs such as QuickTime, etc. The Senior Audio Mixer may be required to review client projects in order to determine the equipment needed and source material required to produce a high-quality, professional finished product.This position may also require occasional long workdays and weekend work.

The ideal candidate would have at least 10 years of experience in the production and/or post production industry, particularly in audio post production.The Senior Audio Mixer must have excellent communication skills and work equally well as part of a team and independently.He or she must be able to handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently in a high-stress, deadline-driven environment.
